Odour removal at the source
The Garbage Doctor® 3000 is a purpose-built UV ozone system for odour removal in the garbage rooms and garbage chutes of high-rise and apartment buildings, and the 3000 suits small to medium buildings best. The 3000 is also used wherever a UV ozone generator rated for continuous operation is needed, such as loading docks, grease traps and waste water treatment rooms.
An installation, and how the system works
The 3000 (A) is stainless steel, mounted on the bin room wall. In this installation, grey PVC conduit carries the ozone into the garbage chute, into the general waste bin under the chute, and above the recycling bins, where small holes release a low level of ozone just where the ozone is needed. Targeting the ozone at the source, the bins, removes the odour before the air travels up the chute. The ozone output is fully adjustable, and set for each site. Customers generally notice a difference within about 15 minutes of installation.
Every site is a little different. The Garbage Doctor has been installed with chutes, bins, carousels and compactors from all manufacturers, including Elephants Foot, WasteTech, JJ Richards, Wanless, James Hardie and JD MacDonald.

Questions about the 3000
Is the 3000 right for our building?
The 3000 suits small to medium buildings. For larger buildings we usually recommend the Ozone, or the Duo if you'd like the chute scented too. Send us photos of your bin room and chute, and we'll recommend the one that suits your building.
Can the machine add a fragrance?
Yes. Garbage Doctor Scenting can be added, if you have a preference, to scent the chute once the ozone has neutralised the odour. If you know you want the scent from the outset, then you are best to choose our Duo model, which does both from one system.
