Garbage compactor odour control

The Garbage Doctor® is designed to deodorise compactors of every style and make, with ozone, scenting, or both.

Compactor odours build up during collection cycles and spread every time the compactor is opened. Depending on the compactor's layout, our technicians target the ozone into the compactor's hopper or to the area around the compactor. The Garbage Doctor suits most compactors, from a carousel against a wall to a large compactor in a loading dock, including those made by Elephants Foot, WasteTech, JJ Richards, Wanless, James Hardie and JD MacDonald.

Garbage compactor odour control: the Garbage Doctor sends UV ozone through conduit into the compactor's hopper and over the compactor's bin, where the odour starts.

What decides the right system

  • Where the compactor is. A large compactor standing in the middle of a loading dock, or a small carousel against a wall?
  • A chute. Does a garbage chute feed the compactor?
  • Who's nearby. Is the site industrial, or are there apartments close by whose residents need to be considered?
  • Neutral or scented. Odour control by neutralising alone, with ozone, or a pleasant fragrance in the area as well?
