Neutralise the odour, and scent the chute
The Si-Zone® UV generator targets ozone at the bins, the compactor or the carousel, where the odour starts, and destroys the odour down before the air is drawn up the chute. The scent tank simultaneously releases a scented vapour into the chute. A little of the scent typically escapes around the chute door on each level, so residents and guests notice a clean, pleasant smell whenever they use the waste system.

Grey PVC conduit runs along the wall above the grease trap, with small holes to release the ozone just above the trap, the same way as over garbage bins. Targeting the ozone at the source neutralises the grease odour before the odour can spread.
A grease trap, or grease arrestor, holds back the fats, oils and grease from a kitchen's waste water: the grease floats on the water and the solids settle on the bottom. The grease trap's strong, pungent smell escapes around the lids, where the ozone above the trap meets the smell.

The scent tank sends a scented vapour out of a short pipe on top, into the wider area outside the targeted ozone, which helps a great deal where the odour is a problem.
How the Duo works
- Air enters the machine through a carbon filter.
- UV lamps inside the machine turn a little of the oxygen into ozone.
- PVC conduit carries the ozone to the bins, where the ozone breaks down the odour and turns back into oxygen.
- A small pipe links the machine to the scent tank, which sends a fragrance up the chute (optional).

An installation, and how the system works
The Duo's main unit (A) is stainless steel, mounted on the bin room wall. The main unit holds the ozone equipment and the scenting controls, which are connected to the scent tank (B).

Targeting the ozone at the source neutralises the odour before the odour is drawn up the chute. The ozone output is fully adjustable, to suit each site.
- The fragrance. The scent tank, mounted on the wall, sends a scented vapour through a white pipe into the chute. The vapour rises through the chute, and a little escapes around the chute door on each level, so the building's waste system feels clean and pleasant to use.
Every site is a little different. The Duo has been installed with chutes, bins, carousels and compactors from all manufacturers, including Elephants Foot, WasteTech, JJ Richards, Wanless, James Hardie and JD MacDonald.

The Duo is available for rent only, due to the higher servicing requirements of scenting. Our fully inclusive rental covers the equipment itself, all consumables (including the fragrance refills), servicing and maintenance.
Serviced on site
Our technicians are licensed electricians. They service the machine, with an electrical test and tag at every service, throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Airlie Beach, Tweed and Auckland. Call 1300-ODOURS (1300 636 877).

Can we buy the Duo?
The Duo is available on a fully inclusive rental only, due to the higher servicing requirements of scenting. If you'd rather buy, the Ozone can be bought outright, and Garbage Doctor Scenting added to the Ozone on a rental.
Will the fragrance hide the odour?
The fragrance doesn't need to. The ozone neutralises the odour first, so the fragrance is all that's left to notice.
